This permanent role is based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park, Sydney) or Meanjin (Brisbane).

As a Construction& Engineering (C) Underwriter you will work at the heart of a high‐performing, inclusive team, helping shape risk solutions for complex projects and building lasting relationships with our trusted partners. Whether you are an experienced underwriter, early‐career insurance professional, or graduate with a background in construction, engineering or insurance, we welcome different paths that bring the right mindset, energy and curiosity.

This role is more than just underwriting; it is about becoming a trusted advisor. You will engage directly with brokers, present our unique offering at industry events, and contribute to national business targets. You will also support strategy development for SME to mid‐market segments and get involved in product guidance and insight‐sharing. • Experience in a broker or customer‐facing role with strong relationship‐building skills.
• Professional and/or academic background in underwriting, broader insurance or construction/engineering sectors.
• A confident, curious mindset with the ability to adapt and thrive through change.
• Excellent communication, problem‐solving and analytical thinking.
• A relevant degree in engineering (any discipline) or trade/construction experience (preferred but not essential).
• A team‐first attitude, high motivation and a desire to grow your career in a specialist insurance space.
