Ivan's Pies is a proudly Australian owned and operated food manufacturing company known for our commitment to producing high quality, artisanal pies and pastries. We are seeking a qualified or sufficiently experienced Pastry Cook, Baker or Chef to join our production team on a full-time, permanent basis, working early morning shifts, Monday to Friday - get your weekends back with this exciting opportunity.
About the Role
In this role, you will be part of a hands-on production team that is responsible for setting the day up for success by preparing a range of pastry rolls and a wide variety of fillings ready for the production line.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing, baking and finishing pastry and pie products
* Following process diligently and measuring and mixing ingredients to clear specification
* Operating production equipment including mixers, sheeters, kettles and other specialist plant equipment.
* Maintaining consistent product quality and food safety standards
* Cleaning and maintaining work areas and equipment
* Adhering to HACCP, GMP and WHS requirements
About You
To be successful, you will have:
* Experience as a Pastry Cook, Baker or Chef (commercial or manufacturing environment preferred)
* A relevant trade qualification (highly regarded but not essential - we will also accept relevant work experience)
* An understanding of Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards
* A reliable work ethic and strong attention to detail
* Physical capability to perform manual handling (up to 25kg)
* A team-focused approach and commitment to quality
