The Contract Solutions branch provides a procure-2-pay service for ICT contracts to TDS and its clients.The branch is responsible for routine purchasing, tendering, contract management, vendor management and software licensing management. The branch is a results focused team supporting clients through the IT governance and controls to solve business needs through IT contracts.
The Principal Procurement Officer is charged with the dynamic delivery of internaland external, business or ICT oriented resources and services so the organisation can provide ICT services to their customers.
What you will be doing:
• Leading and managing the ICT procurement processes, including drafting, evaluating, and negotiating ICT contracts, to deliver required business outcomes and ensure probity and accountability of the process aligns with Queensland Procurement Policy, Queensland Information Technology Contracting (QITC) framework and legislative requirements.
• In accordance with policy, proactively managing ICT contracts for renewals, delivery and performance including service level agreements, ensuring appropriate mechanisms are in place to monitor performance and complaints resolved.
• Managing staff to ensure timely performance, professional conduct, improve procurement capabilities and develop, implement, and improve current practices within the team, as well as across the department.
• Prepare procurement, supplier performance and vendor management reports.
• Representing TDS in internal and external meetings/committees for procurement, contract management, vendor management and working groups including dispute resolution with vendors.
• Working closely with the Vendor Relationship Manager and other ICT experts in building relationships with new and existing suppliers, to progress the team and department's objectives.
