Cradle Mountain Hotel is nestled in the alpine woodlands at the northern end of the breathtaking Cradle Mountain – Lake St Clair National Park. What You'll Do
We are seeking an experienced Guest Service Agent who is passionate about the hospitality industry to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will be committed to long-term growth and eager to build a rewarding career with us. You will provide an exceptional experience to our guests from reservation and throughout their stay, creating lifetime memories. This full-time role primarily involves afternoon and evening shifts, typically rostered between 3pm and 11pm. On a daily basis you will:
* Complete reception tasks such as taking bookings, preparing invoices, checking guests in and out
* Answer phone and email enquires promptly and professionally
* Communicate with other departments to ensure rooms are ready for guest arrivals or to ensure guest needs are met
* Complete end-of-day procedures, including accurate financial reconciliation and reporting
What You'll Bring
* Strong Guest Service experience with sound knowledge of NewBook, RoomMaster, Opera or a similar booking system
* A reputation for providing excellent customer service, engaging in great conversations with our guests
* A vibrant attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
* Certificate II in Hospitality (Operations) or equivalent experience
* Demonstrated financial acumen, including responsibility for cash handling and reconciliation as part of daily operational duties.
* Problem solving skills including the ability to apply mathematical skills in a workplace context
* Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
* Possess a Do Food Safely Certificate of completion
* Flexibility to work across other areas of the business if required
