Job Opportunity
Deliver a large-scale road project, connecting the Eastern Freeway to the M80 Ring Road with new twin tunnels. The project will reduce traffic congestion by taking 15,000 trucks a day off local roads and slashing travel times by up to 35 minutes.
The role involves leading the delivery of all package traffic management activities while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, environment, commercial, and finance. This includes developing and delivering value-for-money engineering solutions for the North East Link Program's South Package.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Traffic Manager who can lead the strategy for the package to ensure all traffic management requirements are met. The successful candidate will provide strategic guidance to the construction team and ensure the overall traffic staging is optimised for their area.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement traffic management plans that meet NELP requirements.
* Provide strategic guidance to the construction team to ensure optimal traffic staging.
* Responsible for preparing planning documentation in a timely manner to meet the project program.
* Understand stakeholder needs and expectations and ensure they are included in the project planning.
* Proactive involvement in the development of construction methodology to minimise hazards.
* Provide regular reporting to the Traffic & Disruptions Leader on the performance and progress of traffic teams.
* Represent the Alliance at traffic liaison group and interface meetings.
Requirements
You will have previous experience in a similar traffic management role and be able to develop traffic capability and skills sets in our team. You will also act as a representative for the Alliance in external interactions.
