High risk feet involve diagnoses with amputations, foot ulcerations, peripheral neuropathy, peripheral vascular disease and gross foot deformities.What we're looking for:Expertise and skills in clinical Podiatry especially in relation to the treatment of high risk foot, ambulatory and community based care, wound management.Application of evidence based principles to Podiatry clinical services across the continuum of care with limited clinical practice supervision.Demonstrated ability to provide podiatry clinical services of a complex nature, where established principles, procedures and methods require expansion, adaptation or ability in utilising information technology for reporting and clinical ability to provide advice to professional and operational leaders regarding service delivery and improvement opportunities and implementation of such projects.Demonstrated high level communication, negotiation and consultative skills, with an ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and diverse range of clients and stakeholders.Demonstrated commitment and participation in substantial relevant professional development, research and continuous learning to ensure the progression of individual clinical standards.Demonstrated ability to supervise students and less experienced staff.Preferred Qualifications:Mandatory possession of a qualification as a Podiatrist from a registered tertiary institution (or equivalent) as and a current membership or eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.Aged Care: Potential applicants are advised that the Aged Care Act 1997 requires Queensland Health employees and volunteers of aged care services to have a current National Police Certificate.
