Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and versatile Warehouse & Logistics Support Assistant reporting directly to the Service and Logistics Leader. In this role, you will primarily support the day-to-day warehouse operations by assisting the Service and Logistics Leader, while also taking responsibility for showroom/reception duties, sales support, customer support, administration, and other tasks as outlined below. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage third-party warehousing, including booking freight and arranging customer pickups.

* Arranging and scheduling freight shipments utilising Big Post, Mainfreight Australia Post, and various other couriers.

* Maintain accurate inventory records using our inventory management system and ensure stock levels are updated regularly.

* Coordinate with the sales team to fulfil customer orders and ensure timely deliveries.

* Assist with stock replenishment and stocktake activities to maintain optimal inventory levels.

* Assist in warehouse operations in busy periods or to cover leave, including loading trucks and customers, preparing freight and unloading containers.

* Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations at all times.

* Sales Support: Liaise between the sales team and warehouse to prioritise shipments and ensure orders are processed efficiently. This role may involve being rostered to caretake a sales role during peak trade periods or when sales team members are off-site.

* Customer Support: Assist walk-in customers, answer phone calls, and resolve inquiries promptly or transfer them to the appropriate team.

* Training and Development: Participate in training sessions at the direction of Leadership. Collaborate with the Service and Logistics Leader, Operations Leader and Sales team to create or request internal training content and onboarding materials.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in warehouse support, customer service, or sales support roles.

* Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.

* Proficiency in computer systems and willingness to learn new software programs.

* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

* Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.

* Forklift license or willingness to acquire one.

* Proficiency in inventory management systems, CRM software, and Microsoft 365 suite.

* Thorough knowledge of workplace health and safety practices and compliance requirements.
