Proposals Engineer

Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity available for a Proposals Engineer to join our proposals team. Ideally, this role will be based in Perth, Western Australia.

You will work closely with the Proposals Manager, Sales team, and internal stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely and high-quality proposals that meet customer expectations and align with our business objectives.
Which tasks will you perform?
- Prepare and submit project bids and tender documents.This includes techncial selection and review of commercial requirements.
- Ensure all project information is documented in Salesforce CRM and Sharepoint.
- Facilitate and attend project kick-off meetings, bid clarification meetings, and hand-over meetings.
- Assist in identifying project risks to the business.
- Present project capabilities to clients and communicate effectively to identify needs and evaluate solutions.
- Seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and strengthen client relationships.
- Review deliverables prepared during bid preparation before submission to clients.
- Resolve and/or escalate issues promptly and manage day-to-day client interactions and expectations.
- Minimize exposure and risk on projects and ensure proper handover to the Project Management Execution team.
- Ensure project legal documents and schedules are completed and signed off by authorized signatories.
What do we expect from you?
- Previous experience in a similar or related role.
- Possess Endress+Hauser product knowledge (advantageous).
- Hold a bachelor's degree or diploma in electrical or chemical engineering (preferred).
- Have experience with SAP, Salesforce, or other CRM systems and Microsoft Suite (desirable).
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance in all proposals and documentation.
- Communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
- Can work under pressure with strong time management skills.
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to analyse information and make sound judgements and calculated risks.
- Portray professionalism and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Are self-motivated, with problem-solving and diagnostic skills, and can work independently or as part of a team.
