Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and motivated Project Officer to join the Fresh Blood Products and Services team. This team manages the contract with the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood to collect, process, and supply blood products and services, which are vital for saving lives across Australia.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, state and territory governments, other agencies, and Lifeblood to review and advise on operational policies related to blood products. Responsibilities include managing projects, analyzing data, assessing legislation, and supporting corporate reporting.
Key skills include strong organizational abilities, communication, research, analysis, and relationship-building. Experience in health policy or project management is highly desirable.
Key Duties
* Assist in managing projects related to blood supply, aligned with the National Blood Agreement and legislation.
* Provide advice on policy impacts, analyze technical information, and engage with experts.
* Coordinate and contribute to reports, including annual reports and estimates briefs.
* Develop project management artifacts for governance and tracking.
* Prepare high-quality documents for diverse audiences.
* Build relationships with stakeholders.
* Contribute to organizational strategy and culture.
* Support the delivery of a new major contract.
