Job Title: Clinical Nurse Consultant
The successful applicant will work in close partnership with emergency services personnel to provide timely response to people experiencing mental health emergencies in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive mental health and risk assessments of individuals experiencing acute symptoms of mental illness.
2. Apply evidence-based skills in crisis intervention, including the formulation of safety plans and provision of brief therapeutic interventions.
3. Develop high-level interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and decision-making.
4. Collaborate with consumers, families/carers, colleagues, and emergency service and hospital personnel.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven ability to work in partnership with emergency services personnel.
* Holds or is working towards a relevant postgraduate qualification.
* Current driver's license.
