The Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with existing clients. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who understands transport, civil works, and how truck and dog operations support major projects.
You'll be responsible for identifying opportunities, securing contracts, and working closely with operations to ensure smooth delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and secure new business opportunities within civil, construction, quarry and infrastructure projects
* Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, project managers, estimators and subcontractors
* Prepare and negotiate pricing, tenders and service agreements
* Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and meet growth targets
* Represent the company at client meetings, site visits and industry events
* Work closely with operations to ensure service delivery meets client expectations
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity
About You
* Proven experience in a BDM, sales or account management role (transport, logistics, civil or construction preferred)
* Strong understanding of Truck and Dog / Tipper Operations and project-based work
* Existing industry contacts highly regarded
* Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
* Self-motivated, results-driven and comfortable working autonomously
* Strong organisational and reporting skills
* Current Australian driver's licence
