Monadelphous are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Maintenance and Industrial Services division, based in our Brisbane Head office Monday to Friday, for the next 8 months. Periodically you will be required to travel to site for short visits. Upon project completion, there may be additional ongoing work available.
Key responsibilities
* Work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to ensure project objectives are met on time with respect to cost, safety and quality
* Work closely with client representatives and deliver to meet their requirements
* Manage the interface between the engineering and project delivery teams to maintain compliance with the specifications, schedules and contract
* Manage and supervise the resolution of technical queries as required
* Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to other members of the engineering team
* Compile schedule, cost, progress and forecast reports for the project; ensuring all schedule reporting requirements are met
* Provide support to the project team and implement best practice on the project
What you will bring
* 5+ years' experience working in an on‐site project engineering or coordination position for large‐scale resources construction/maintenance projects
* Experience building strong, value‐driven client relationships
* An Australian recognised, tertiary qualification in Engineering or relevant Trade Certificate
* Proven experience in project management
* Strong written and technical skills, with an innovative approach to technical problem‐solving and continuous improvement
* Experience of managing the contractual correspondence across project delivery
* Front end estimating experience working within a bid or tender team for both shutdown and project work
* Well‐developed communication skills and a collaborative, team‐oriented approach with the ability to foster interpersonal relationships across all levels
* A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
* Proof of right to work in Australia and a valid passport
