Expert Mining Consultant - Digital Transformation Leader
* Job Description:
* As a seasoned mining expert with over 15 years of experience, you will lead a team of domain consultants and business analysts specializing in mining domain, contributing to client engagements, sales pursuits, solution building, thought leadership, and other organizational initiatives.
* You will also play a consulting-led role in client engagements, recognizing key trends, identifying transformation levers, contributing to next-generation digital solutions, and facilitating solution blueprint and deployment.
* With expertise in mining industry applications and COTS products, as well as hands-on experience in automation and process control, planning and scheduling, logistics, EHS, etc., you may serve as an individual domain anchor or lead a team of consultants/BAs depending on the client program context.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Market Maker & Executive Engagement: Conduct client workshops and envisioning sessions, co-sell with sales teams, and collaborate across internal units to deliver cohesive solutions.
* Business/Functional Expertise: Work on client assignments, typically large digital transformation programs, as an SME or domain leader, engaging with client business and IT, and Infosys teams throughout IT program phases from planning through solutioning and implementing.
* Required Skills & Experience:
* 15+ years of relevant experience as a domain/functional consultant or industry practitioner in mining & metals with sufficient technology skills.
* Extensive experience in at least a few industry functions and underlying software technologies.
* Exploration and surveying, mine planning and development, mine production and ore transportation, mineral processing, mine safety - underground and open cast, logistics/fleet management, automation & process control.
* Experience related to IoT/Industry 4.0/AI/GenAI/ESG in Mining & Metals.
* Ability to work in field-based environments and travel to remote mining sites as needed.
* Analytical thinking and problem-solving expertise.
* Preferred Skills (Good to Have):
* Conversant with design-thinking based, agile lightweight approaches (customer personas, journeys, story maps, etc.).
* Global exposure and experience in a multi-cultural environment.
* Experience in Software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
