Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Director with a proven track record in delivering complex infrastructure projects, preferably within government or the public sector. Based in Canberra, ACT, this role requires holding and maintaining at least an NV1 Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
1. Manage all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
2. Ensure procurement activities comply with Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
3. Build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
4. Manage project information in line with Defence and APP standards.
5. Deliver projects within or under budget, reducing program durations.
6. Prioritize and efficiently manage Handover Takeover (HOTO) processes.
7. Capture lessons learned and innovations for continuous improvement.
About You
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with a minimum NV1 security clearance.
* Proven leadership experience overseeing complex infrastructure projects, ideally in defence or the public sector.
* Expertise in project and program management methodologies with a successful record of delivering large-scale initiatives on time and within budget.
* Strong knowledge of government procurement processes and compliance requirements.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
