One of our clients in the Defence sector is on the lookout for a proactive and personable IT professional to join their growing AU/NZ team based in Brisbane, Northside. In this key role, you'll be responsible for managing a hybrid technical environment supporting over 200 staff, spread across geographically distributed, multi-tenanted business units in ANZ and the UK. Your focus will be on maintaining uptime, security, and compliance in a dynamic and regulated setting. About the Role - Your First 90 Days First 30 Days: Get to know the landscape: understand the systems, internal relationships, and group structures across regions. Build knowledge around compliance, internal policies, and the broader IT environment. Next 60 Days: Own system monitoring, ensure backups and alerts are managed, and compliance is on point. Begin hands-on implementation work - including software installs and minor projects. 90 Days and Beyond: Step up: Take full ownership of systems, show initiative, and drive key IT projects forward. Lead configuration efforts across the UK tenant and ensure security and finance integrations are implemented. What You'll Bring Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, ideally with exposure to Microsoft Azure and Admin Centres. Hands-on experience maintaining and supporting complex, multi-site environments with over 200+ users. Experience in compliance-focused sectors (e.g., legal, education, justice) highly regarded. Basic knowledge of Apple and Linux operating systems. A relationship-first mindset - personable, proactive, and team-oriented. Australian Citizenship (essential for Defence clearance). Willingness to complete a Firearms Licence (includes handling and firing training - fully supported). The Team Join a collaborative and capable IT team of 9 across AU/NZ, including Service Desk, Cyber Security, and Business Systems experts. Be part of a global function with wider group resources including engineers and Microsoft 365 specialists. Role Details Location: Brisbane, Northside (onsite role with flexibility when required).
