A well-established construction and services group is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to support a large, multi-entity business employing approximately 600 direct staff, 200 labour-hire workers, and a broad subcontractor base.
Reporting directly to the Group HR Manager, this role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with employment legislation and internal policies, while supporting managers with probation reviews, investigations, and day-to-day HR matters. The role is well suited to someone with a strong blue-collar background and 2–5 years' HR experience who enjoys being hands-on and visible in the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide HR advice to managers across multiple operating entities
* Support compliance with employment legislation, awards, and company policies
* Manage probation reviews and ongoing employee lifecycle processes
* Assist with workplace investigations and performance-related matters
* Support leaders with employee relations and documentation
* Maintain accurate HR records and support audit requirements
* Work closely with the Group HR Manager on operational HR initiatives
What You'll Bring
* 2–5 years' experience in a HR advisory role
* Proven experience supporting a blue-collar workforce
* Working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and modern awards
* Confidence handling employee relations and investigations
* HR qualification (Diploma or Degree preferred)
* Strong attention to detail and a practical, people-focused approach
