About The Role
We are looking for casual educators to support and build our Avalon OSHC team. Our OSHC is located on the beautiful grounds of Maria Regina Primary School and is open from 3:00pm to 6:00pm in the afternoons, Monday to Friday during term time, with shifts starting at 2:30pm.
We have casual shifts available in after-school care during term time, with the potential for extra shifts across all of our Northern Beaches sites, including Vacation Care. Roster flexibility and reliability to attend shifts are key to success in this role. This casual position offers flexibility for someone already studying or working part-time.
Duties
Working in our Out of School Hours Care is both rewarding and fun, offering opportunities to be creative while caring for school-age children.
To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have
An ability to build ongoing positive relationships with children, their families, and school staff.
A commitment to ensuring all policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks are met.
An understanding of safeguarding children and providing a safe work environment.
Attend training as required.
Be reliable and flexible with shift availability.
Requirements
Working With Children Check and Criminal History Check
Highly Desirable
Experience working in Outside School Hours Care
Qualifications - Diploma or Cert III in OSHC
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the team and children aged 5-12
