Key Responsibilities Parts Interpretation & Procurement
- Identify and source correct automotive parts based on customer or production requirements
- Accurately process purchase orders using MYOB EXO Business
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effective, and timely supply of parts
- Interpret technical diagrams or manuals to verify part specifications
- Cross-reference part numbers and ensure compatibility with required systems
Inventory & Stock Control
- Align parts purchasing with production schedules to avoid overstocking or shortages
- Maintain accurate inventory data in MYOB EXO
- Participate in regular stoctakes and reconcile discrepancies
- Set and review reorder levels to ensure critical parts availability
System & Process Management
- Maintain detailed procurement records
- Contribute to continuous improvement in purchasing processes
- Support implementation of Just-in-Time (JIT) inventory principles
Team Collaboration & Communication
- Coordinate closely with the Operations and Business Development teams
- Provide regular updates on part availability, lead times, and supplier performance
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
What We’re Looking ForEssential:
- 1+ years experience as a Parts Interpreter or in a purchasing/supply chain role
- Strong knowledge of automotive or machinery components and parts
- Proficiency in MYOB EXO Business or similar ERP systems
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Confident with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Desirable:
- Experience in automotive manufacturing or aftermarket industries
- Understanding of Just-in-Time (JIT) purchasing methodology
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and parts catalogues
