As we continue to grow, we remain focused on cultivating our positive culture.About the Role:Based in Launceston, the Manager Communications and Engagement will play a critical role in brand, reputation and issues management; including media, marketing and communications across various platforms. Acting as the primary advisor on media relations, you'll offer strategic guidance and oversee continuous improvement of our communications’ practices. This role also works with the CEO to maintain a clear and accurate view of existing and new stakeholder relationships and develop engagement and communications strategies and plans to foster connection and care for key initiatives.Reporting directly to the CEO, the Manager Communications and Engagement will be responsible for shaping and implementing City Mission’s communications’ strategies and stakeholder engagement initiatives to achieve organisational goals.Managing other City Mission communications specialists (internal, contractor outsourced) and plans and initiatives, focused on both internal and external audiences, the role is accountable for building relationships, managing our brand and reputation, and influencing stakeholders in support of our purpose.SELECTION CRITERIAEssential Qualifications/Experience:Degree in Public Relations/Communications and Engagement or similar field.Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position.Exceptional writing, editing and communication skills.Proven ability to manage diverse and complex stakeholders and audiences and experience in incorporating the needs of diverse audiences into communications that is underpinned by a strong understanding of the community sector.Content development, journalistic and content marketing, writing and editing skills, especially in digital and social media, including managing content contributors.Self-starter with the capacity to work autonomously.Highly Proficient with MS Office.Deep connection with the mission, vision and values of LCM.National Police Check is required for all roles at LCM.Registration to Work with Vulnerable People is required for all roles at LCM.Desirable Qualifications/Experience:Experience or demonstrated capacity to work in an organisation adopting a Christian ethos.Experience in Marketing.Experience in developing and achieving assigned tasks within an organisational strategic planning framework.Established professional networks with industry, government, and community.This is a full-time position. As a Public Benevolent Institution, LCM employees are eligible to Salary Package through our approved provider.
