About the Role

At Curtin University, we are driven by innovation, diversity, and excellence. We're looking for two creative and strategic Social Media Coordinators to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will help bring our brand to life across digital platforms, supporting and enhancing Curtin's global reputation.
Your responsibilities will include
* Create, curate, and deliver brand‐aligned content across social media channels, including written, video, graphic, and photographic assets, to engage priority audiences and support reputation, acquisition, and conversion goals.
* Manage day‐to‐day community engagement, ensuring timely responses and a consistent, authentic brand voice.
* Monitor and analyse performance metrics to optimise content and drive continuous growth.
* Oversee and uphold governance of the social media ecosystem, ensuring adherence to brand and platform guidelines.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align social media activity with broader marketing and organisational objectives.
* Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to keep Curtin at the forefront of digital engagement.
Through strong data and customer insight, this role will maximise reach, engagement and the efficiency of our owned social media channels through the creation and curation of compelling recruitment and reputation content to contribute effectively to our Brand and Student Acquisition KPIs.
Selection Criteria
* A proven track record of high‐quality social media content writing and design in a marketing environment for a large or complex organisation, with demonstrated experience working with a variety of channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, X, Threads, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube. (Minimum of 3‐5 years' coordination experience is required)
* Positive attitude towards collaboration with the ability to adapt and be agile towards opportunities that may arise.
* Well‐developed research and writing skills for a range of audiences with a high level of attention to detail, accuracy and cross‐cultural sensitivity.
* Demonstrated experience in using social media publishing platforms and analytic tools with data analysis skills and statistical prowess to draw actionable insights to continually improve social media output.
* Outstanding organisational and time‐management skills with the ability to manage workloads and multiple projects to meet deadlines.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships and networks across an organisation and effectively contribute to an integrated service culture.
