Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic
Supply Chain Manager
to lead and optimise end-to-end supply chain operations in [City, Australia]. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing procurement, logistics, inventory, and distribution activities to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of goods and services.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to improve supply chain performance, mitigate risks, and support business growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage end-to-end
supply chain operations
, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution
* Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners
* Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service-level agreements to optimise cost and performance
* Monitor inventory levels to ensure availability while minimising excess and obsolescence
* Analyse supply chain data and KPIs to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
* Lead demand planning and forecasting activities in collaboration with sales and operations teams
* Manage supply chain risks and develop contingency and continuity plans
* Ensure compliance with Australian regulations, safety standards, and company policies
* Lead, mentor, and develop supply chain and logistics team members
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain processes and systems
Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in
Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations
, or a related field
* Proven experience as a
Supply Chain Manager
or in a senior supply chain / logistics role
* Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, warehousing, and transportation
* Experience with
ERP and supply chain systems
(e.g. SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
* Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making
* Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional collaboration
* Knowledge of Australian import/export regulations and compliance requirements
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage change effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
* Postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or MBA (desirable)
* Professional certifications such as
CPIM, CSCP, or MCIPS
* Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, retail, or distribution environments
* Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma
, or continuous improvement methodologies
* Experience managing complex, multi-site or global supply chains
