Your Role
The First Assistant Secretary Patrol Boats and Specialist Ships is accountable for the continuous development and delivery of all minor and specialist maritime vessels, boats and patrol boats. The division is also responsible for leading the management of the Strategic Shipbuilding Agreement in conjunction with contribution to continuous naval shipbuilding and sustainment.
The division works in collaboration with Maritime Sustainment division for delivery of initial sustainment solutions, with Major Surface Combatants and Combat Systems division to deliver the specialist vessels for maritime mine countermeasures and undersea surveillance projects, and with the Henderson Defence Precinct Program to support industry consolidation through the Strategic Shipbuilding Agreement. The Division comprises of three functional areas:
* Specialist Ships and Offshore Patrol Vessels Branch
* Landing Craft Branch
* Strategic Shipbuilding Agreement
