An exciting opportunity exists for a Business Solutions Advisor to join our Finance Directorate at CQUniversity Australia. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing our Financial Management Information Systems (FMIS) while driving efficiency, accuracy, and innovation in financial management.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced finance professional with a strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, and business solutions. Your expertise will make a real impact as you work closely with the Senior Business Advisor (Services and Capital) to provide high-level financial analysis, business insights, and strategic recommendations to inform decision-making across the University.
Your responsibilities will include functional support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of various FMIS used by the Business Insights team, including costing and budget models. Additionally, you will contribute to the preparation of budget and forecast processes, ensuring optimal economic outcomes for the University.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-level financial analysis, business insights, and strategic recommendations to inform decision-making across the University.
* Support and enhance our Financial Management Information Systems (FMIS) to drive efficiency, accuracy, and innovation in financial management.
* Maintain and continuously improve various FMIS used by the Business Insights team, including costing and budget models.
* Contribute to the preparation of budget and forecast processes to ensure optimal economic outcomes for the University.

Requirements
* Thorough and detailed knowledge and experience, preferably in the higher education sector or large organisation, of management accounting especially in the areas of budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis and finance policy, concepts and processes.
* Significant knowledge and experience operating a medium to large scale Financial Management Information System, including the production of operational reports and providing financial analysis and insights.
* A relevant degree with at least four years' subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
