About The Role
As Manufacturing Manager at PGH Bricks, you'll lead end‐to‐end manufacturing operations at our Oxley site, driving performance across safety, quality, cost and output in a 24/7 environment. You'll oversee production and yard teams, lifting standards and embedding a strong, accountable culture.
You'll focus on improving reliability and efficiency through Lean, WCM and continuous improvement, while managing budgets, cost control and compliance. This is a hands‐on leadership role with real ownership – shaping site performance, leading your team and contributing to the next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Safety First – Champion a Zero Harm culture and maintain compliance.
* Operational Leadership – Oversee manufacturing, production and yard with a dotted line to maintenance. Set and deliver site strategy including capacity, cost control and output growth.
* Process Improvement – Implement Lean, 5S and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles.
* Team Management – Lead and develop a high‐performing workforce.
* Budget & Cost Control – Manage operational budgets, costs and CAPEX and make cost‐based decisions.
* Stakeholder & Union Engagement – Work closely with key internal and external stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in Manufacturing, Operations or Plant Management.
* Strong leadership and people management skills in a high‐volume 24/7 environment (Production & Logistics).
* Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, WCM and process improvement.
* Financial & commercial acumen – P&L, budgeting and cost control.
* Safety & compliance knowledge – WHS, Chain of Responsibility (CoR).
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Manufacturing or Business advantageous, not essential.
* Strong working knowledge of SAP.
