Who are we looking for?
We're seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Darwin-based Senior Structural Engineer, to deliver impactful projects across Northern Australia and beyond. As a member of our Buildings Services team, you will work on a variety of projects in the public and private sectors, across an extensive regional client portfolio.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you:
* Designing reinforced concrete, steel, timber, pre-cast concrete and masonry structures (incl. buildings, bridges, sewage treatment plants and schools to name a few).
* Working on small to medium-scale commercial, residential and industrial projects including civil infrastructure projects.
* Mentoring and inspiring junior engineers, helping shape the next generation of technical leaders.
* Providing technical leadership and client liaison, acting as a trusted advisor and preparing proposals, reports, and cost estimates.
* Cultivating strong client relationships by facilitating meetings, conducting site visits, and leading collaborative discussions to ensure project alignment and success.
* Collaborating with passionate colleagues and clients to deliver sustainable, future-ready solutions.
What you will bring to the team:
* 7+ years experience as a Structural Engineer in the Building Services environment, ideally from a consultancy background. Experience working on defence projects would be highly regarded.
* Engineering Degree (Structural).
* Hold accreditation as a structural engineer in the Northern Territory or be able to obtain accreditation if successful.
* Demonstrate a proactive, client-centric approach, actively contributing to business growth by identifying opportunities with both new and existing clients.
* Exhibit robust project management capabilities, confidently serving as the technical lead across diverse projects.
* Good understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Strong desire to mentor others and the experience required to offer technical leadership.
