About the job We are looking for Wind Farm Technicians to join our Mumbida Wind Farm team, located near Geraldton, WA, on a casual basis. Ideally, candidates will be local to Geraldton or surrounding area. In this role, the Technician will primarily focus on carrying out routine maintenance, breakdown repairs, and implementation of upgrades on the wind turbines locally and across Australia where required. Join us and help drive innovation and sustainability in our projects. What you’ll do Perform planned preventative maintenance routines and make performance checks as required. Repair, refurbish or replace defective plant equipment and perform corrective maintenance activities as required to restore plant and equipment performance. Operate and / or assist with the operation of all assigned plants. Document all activities, readings taken, materials and time used to input information into the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance requirements by performing technical procedures, inspections, and test plans. Respond to afterhours call out in accordance with the Standby/call out roster. Provide support to other wind farm sites as required. Participate in appropriate training both formally and informally (by passing on own expertise) as required. Based in Victoria or WA preferred but not essential Travel across sites and locations to support maintenance across different platforms and locations as required. What you’ll have Accredited Electrical Qualification or Mechanical Trade Qualification (dual trade not essential but desirable) High Voltage Switching experience and qualification desirable. Preferable Wind Turbine Experience/Accreditation highly regarded but not essential. GWO/Working at Heights certification. Heights rescue desirable. Current Driver’s License Extensive work experience in the heavy industry sector Fundamental understanding of asset management principles Willingness to travel, often in remote locations.
