We are seeking experienced mental health professionals to join our Community Mental Health Service in the Wheatbelt Region of Western Australia.
* As a Mental Health Specialist, you will provide acute mental health assessments, risk evaluations, and intervention planning in a regional healthcare setting.
* You will deliver psychiatric and consultant liaison nursing, supporting individuals experiencing severe mental health crises and ensuring appropriate care pathways.
* In addition, you will deliver education and training sessions to enhance service capability.
Main Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and case management for children and adolescents with severe and enduring mental illness.
* Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans in collaboration with families, schools, and other health professionals.
* Work collaboratively as part of a regional multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care.
The successful candidate will possess:
* Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Experience in mental health nursing, including acute mental health assessments, crisis intervention, and risk management.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a regional multidisciplinary team.
* Cultural awareness and experience working with Aboriginal communities.
* National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check & Vaccinations (or willingness to obtain).
