High School Music Teacher Job Description
This role involves teaching the music curriculum across high school stages, conducting vocal ensembles and choirs, and coordinating extra-curricular music programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Teaching music classes and managing equipment, rehearsal schedules, and students.
* Attending events and overseeing coordination with the Head of Extra-Curricular Music.
* Building connections with music departments in other schools for collaborative events and external performances.
* Researching and administering ensemble participation in external events.
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant degree and teaching qualifications, NESA accreditation, and a valid Working With Children Check.
* Desirable experience includes event coordination, ensemble management, and K-6 music teaching.
* Advantageous: comfort working with the P-12 Department and ability to teach K-6 music classes.
