The Role
An opportunity is available for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join the perioperative team, specialising in urology. This role is well suited to nurses seeking career progression into leadership, who have demonstrated in-charge experience and are ready to step into an ANUM position. Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting and leading the perioperative team to deliver high-quality patient care
* Coordinating clinical care, audits and quality improvement activities
* Assisting with the management of human, financial and material resources
* Promoting a positive learning culture and supporting staff development
* Providing direct clinical care when required
Requirements
* Current AHPRA registration and Working with Children Check
* Previous in-charge / shift leadership experience (essential)
* Prior ANUM or Clinical Nurse Specialist experience (desirable but not essential)
* Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant specialty (or willingness to work towards)
* Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to national safety and quality standards
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced perioperative environment
* High level of computer literacy
