About Our Client
A leading professional services firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their payroll team in an entry-level capacity. Job Description
* Prepare and process end-to-end payroll for employees accurately and on time.
* Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws, awards, and enterprise agreements.
* Maintain payroll records and manage employee queries promptly.
* Prepare reports for management and assist in audits as required.
* Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile payroll accounts.
* Update payroll systems with new hires, terminations, and changes in employment details.
* Stay up-to-date with legislation and industry standards affecting payroll operations.
* Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the payroll function.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Payroll Officer Should Have
* A keen interest in payroll, finance, or HR administration
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Basic Excel skills; familiarity with payroll systems is a plus
* No prior payroll experience required - just a willingness to learn
