Job Role: Primary Care Specialist
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Specialist to provide high-quality primary care services, including management of acute illness. The successful candidate will work with the community to increase their capacity to make choices to enhance their health and well-being.
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive primary care services, including history taking, diagnosis, investigation, and treatment.
* Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to refer patients to appropriate services and support networks.
* Advise and respond to medical/health problems of patients, including those related to mental health, chronic disease management, and preventative care.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practice guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner.
* Fellowship with RACGP or equivalent specialist qualification.
* Experience working in primary care settings, preferably in a community-based organization.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations.
* Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage time efficiently.
