The Opportunity
ACM's western NSW newsroom is looking for a sports journalist to join its high-performing team to lead publications in Orange, Bathurst and Dubbo into the future.
Based in Orange, one of the biggest inland cities in NSW, we're looking for someone to join a team of hard-working, inspiring and energetic journalists during a time of rapid change in Orange and the region when it comes to the local news industry.
This role will focus on the Central West's rich and competitive sporting culture and will see you keep our subscribers across the most interesting sports stories of the day.
You will be able to spot the story behind the story with a focus on the rich personalities that form the sporting community across regional NSW.
The successful candidate will have
- Strong news-gathering and writing/reporting skills
- Passion for grassroots sports, sportspeople and their stories
- Proven skills in writing for online and social media audiences with tight deadlines
- Proven educational qualifications in Communications/Journalism
