About the role
The Officer – Community Mobilisation works with local, state and national stakeholders to build organisational capability with a focus on volunteering, membership and outward community facing events
Supported by the Manager – Community & Business Operations and working with other members and volunteers, the role acts to innovate, attract, engage and retain volunteers and members.
This position focuses on:
- Mobilising member and volunteers through day to day and strategic engagement and the coordination of events across New South Wales.
- Linking Red Cross resources to empower our volunteer work force to connect with their communities.
What you will bring

- Demonstrated sound administration knowledge and expertise
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate events
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written
- Experience in working with and supporting volunteers and/or members
- Sound collaboration and communication skills to effectively engage with volunteers, members and stakeholders and people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.
- Sound analytical skills and demonstrated ability to assess, evaluate and solve problems generally found in policies and practices for volunteers and/or members
- Strong commitment to Reconciliation
- Ability to manage time, set priorities, plan and organise volunteers and their own work
- A willingness to travel to connect and empower people around the state
Mandatory compliance requirements
- A valid NSW Working with Children Check
- A valid Driver’s Licence

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 4. Hourly rate from $44.58 + casual loading + superannuation + access to salary packaging.
