About the SXSW Sydney Music Festival Program Manager Role
A creative and collaborative individual with a music industry background is needed to curate a diverse range of music festival content. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of music and an enthusiasm for identifying new talent and trends, as well as a creative approach to festival programming.
Key responsibilities include:
* Curate and program music festival content alongside the Head of Music and Music Programming Executive, plus an assessor panel.
* Solicit and research artists and speakers for possible festival consideration.
* Develop and maintain relationships with music companies, brands, agencies, advocacy groups, and other industry entities.
* Evaluate public submissions for festival content.
* Stay current on music and music tech industry trends within Australia and abroad.
The successful candidate will have at least three years' experience in programming or curatorial roles across the music industry, a team-oriented approach, and proficiency with common project management software platforms.
