Marketing and Corporate Affairs (MCA) is responsible for delivering an integrated and consistent approach to the Group's marketing, external and internal affairs, communications, sustainability, community investment and social impact.
The Corporate Affairs team purpose is to earn trust by building advocacy. We do this through renewing our brand and reputation with our stakeholders, engaging internal and external stakeholders to inspire advocacy and deliver trusted insights to inform decisions. This will achieve our Corporate Affairs ambition to champion a purpose-led CBA.
Do work that matters
As a Senior Communications Manager in the Technology Corporate Affairs team, you will have broad responsibilities covering communication and stakeholder engagement planning and implementation.
On any given day, you will:
Develop and execute external communications strategies and campaigns to position CommBank as a global leader in technology and AI.
Understand external operating environment and provide insights and informed advice to senior leaders on communications, media and stakeholder engagement activities.
Work with the General Manager and Business Partner to support executive profiling and engagement activities for our senior technology leaders that support delivery of the Group's technology and AI strategy.
Develop and lead campaigns and announcements that leverage multiple channels whilst ensuring a coordinated approach across corporate affairs.
Embed AI tooling and insights into how we plan, create and deliver impactful communications.
Deliver communications collateral including articles, announcements, key messages, questions and answers, briefings and speaking notes.
Establish campaign or project performance indicators and reporting relating to communications and stakeholder engagement activities to drive and track performance.
Monitor internal and external operating environment and advise on potential issues, incidents and reputational risk.
We'd love to hear from people who have:
Significant experience in corporate or public affairs, communications, media or an agency role developing, implementing and delivering internal and external communication campaigns and activities for a large business.
Experience in leading external communications activities including proactively and reactively interacting with media, peak bodies and other external stakeholders.
Experience in providing strategic counsel to senior business stakeholders. Strong business acumen combined with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience or interest in how technology can deliver better, safer and faster outcomes for our customers. Passion for identifying and telling stories that showcase our digital experiences through to how we are using technology to keep our customers safe.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex topics into clear and engaging content that gets read / watched and shared.
A tertiary qualification in business, commerce, communications, journalism or a relevant discipline.
