**About our client**:
Our client plays an important role in education throughout the ACT and NSW. Operating 56 schools and 8 early learning centres, they are responsible for the education of over 20,000 students and employing over 2,000 professionals.
**About the role and you**:
As the Procurement Analyst for our client your role will be focused on supporting the Procurement function for their schools, centres and head office.
You will critically support the Procurement Manager in the management of our key suppliers and contracts, and you will actively identify opportunities for improvement in procurement throughout the organisation.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Conducting sophisticated analysis and reporting on procurement activities, including spending analytics, purchasing trends, contract reviews, purchasing risks, and supplier opportunities.
- Provide support to the Procurement Manager on category management, supplier management, and contract management.
- Engage with key stakeholders to provide advice and insight on their procurement needs and activities.
- Support the Procurement Manager to develop and implement leading practice procurement and expenditure frameworks and policies.
- Actively support and deliver transformational change across procurement.
**To be successful you will need**:
- Experience in procurement, supplier and contract management.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to problem solve and think laterally.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information into understandable insights and advice.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with an ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of procurement systems and reporting tools will mean that you are well placed to identify and recommend improvements and optimisation.
- Time management and a high attention to detail.
