With a strong presence in the Real Estate market, they are now seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join the team in Sydney.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, for presentation to management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with various departments to develop realistic financial plans and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
3. Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, performance evaluations, and variance analysis to provide insightful recommendations for decision-making and improvement of financial performance.
4. Cash Flow Management: Monitor and optimize cash flow to ensure efficient utilization of funds, manage liquidity risks, and support investment decisions.
5. Risk Management: Develop and implement effective risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
6. Financial Compliance: Oversee financial compliance, tax planning, and reporting requirements, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulatory obligations.
7. Treasury Operations: Manage treasury operations, including debt management, investment activities, and maintaining strong relationships with financial institutions.
8. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the finance team, promoting professional growth and fostering a collaborative work environment.
9. Financial Systems and Controls: Enhance and maintain robust financial systems, controls, and processes to safeguard company assets and financial data integrity.
Qualifications
10. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree and/or professional certifications (CA, CPA, CFA) will be advantageous.
11. Strong knowledge of ASX reporting requirements and familiarity with Australian accounting standards.
12. Ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
13. Prior knowledge of trust/mandate operations
14. Demonstrated proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
15. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
16. Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
17. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen
