Mobile App Developer - Contract (Sydney/Melbourne)
Urgent requirement.
Requirements
* Must design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms.
* Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive and responsive interfaces.
* Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
* Integrate APIs and third‑party services into mobile applications.
* Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues across devices.
* Ensure application security and compliance with platform guidelines.
* Conduct unit testing and participate in code reviews.
* Stay updated with the latest mobile development trends and technologies.
* Proven experience in mobile development for Android (Java/Kotlin) and/or iOS (Swift/Objective‑C).
* Familiarity with cross‑platform frameworks (Flutter, React Native) is a plus.
* Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles.
* Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON data handling.
* Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
* Excellent problem‑solving and debugging skills.
Good to have
* Experience with cloud services (Firebase, AWS, Azure).
* Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps.
* Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
* Understanding of mobile security best practices.
Responsibilities
* Maintain the applications.
* Work with offshore team to produce reliable and stable solutions in a timely and cost‑effective manner.
* Interact with customer tech leads and business users to drive assigned work.
* Manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and ensure they are met.
* Liaise with clients and users to determine the nature of any problems they encounter.
* Ensure project quality of work meets defined governance, process standards, and best practices.
* See the bigger picture, make and advise on strategic decisions.
Duration: 6 months with possible extension.
