Job Description:
Auxiliary Firefighters play a vital role in supporting emergency services across Queensland. They work closely with other agencies to ensure the safety of people and property in emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Respond to fire and other emergency incidents as part of a team
* Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through education and outreach activities
* Maintain competencies by participating in regular drills and training courses
* Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment safely and effectively
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
* A Manual C Class driver's licence
* Australian Permanent Resident Status
* The ability to commit to attending incident and emergency calls (50% of calls as a day worker or 30% of calls as a shift worker)
* The ability to obtain an MRV licence within 12 months of employment
