What is our Consultant - Psychiatrist role?
This position is responsible for delivery of specialist psychiatric services within the Adult Mental Health Program at a Community Clinic in the North Metropolitan Health Service, Mental Health (NMHS MH). Provides clinical leadership, coordination and direction to a multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering evidence based best practice treatment and evaluates the provision of patient centred-care coordination, within recovery focussed model. You will also provide orientation, training, supervision and education, where relevant, for Doctors in Training, medical officers and other health workers. In collaboration with the Directors/Head of Clinical Services and other Consultants, this position works to achieve national, state and North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) performance standards and targets.

Area Profile
NMHS contains Western Australia's largest Mental Health Service caring for youths, adults and older adults. Services are delivered through inpatient units, community mental health clinics and day therapy and outreach programs to a catchment area of almost 1 million people. State-wide and Tertiary Mental Health Services include research, forensics, neurosciences, art therapy, eating disorders and other specialised services.
