**Job location**
Forensicare is the statutory agency responsible for the provision of adult forensic mental health services across Victoria.
Forensicare is situated across five sites across Victoria with its largest site being Thomas Embling Hospital, located in Fairfield just 15 minutes north of the Melbourne city centre. Thomas Embling Hospital is a 136-bed secure hospital providing acute care, rehabilitation and continuing care programs. It includes a dedicated women's unit.
**About the Role**:
Ward Clerks at Thomas Embling Hospital provide high quality administrative support to the multi-disciplinary teams working within the service.
Duties of the role include:
- Collation and maintenance of patient health records and information
- Registration, admission and discharge of patients
- Meeting coordination and minute taking
- Management of correspondence and telephone enquiries
- Data entry and filing
- Support staff with electronic records in 'PMI'
**About You**:
- You are highly organised and efficient, with experience providing administrative support in a health or mental health setting.
- You have excellent IT skills, proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and a working knowledge of RAPID (statewide mental health database).
- You have the ability to relate sensitively and professionally with patients and can work with limited supervision.
- You are a good communicator and work effectively in a team.
