About the role
We have an opportunity for a Regional Emergency Management Officer to be part of our Southern Region Operations team. The Regional Emergency Management Officer provides executive support for the Regional Emergency Operations Controller and associated committees in relation to significant emergencies or incidents in accordance with the State Emergency & Rescue Management (SERM) Act 1989. The officer also provides emergency management support to NSWPF as a combat agency where no other agency has legislated responsibility during emergencies.
Responsibilities
* Provide executive support to the Regional Emergency Operations Controller and associated committees.
* Support the Regional Emergency Management Committee (REMC) across Planning, Preparation, Response and Recovery.
* Coordinate and facilitiate emergency management support for significant incidents.
* Ensure compliance with the SERM Act 1989 and other relevant legislation.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Permanent resident of Australia or New Zealand citizen.
* Required to undergo a rigorous National Police criminal history check and maintain a Security Clearance as determined by NSW Police Force.

Compensation
Base salary ranges from $113,574 to $125,720 plus employer's contribution to superannuation of 12% and annual leave loading.
Location
Illawarra & South Coast – Wollongong & the South Coast.
