The Role
An opportunity has become available for two Communication Officers to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
- One position will deliver strategic communication and delivery of corporate and consumer events with a major focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health initiatives and Public Health (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply)
- The other is a more generalist role involving managing stakeholder relations, media relations and marcom production for a portfolio of operational divisions in the Health Service
You will
- Demonstrate creativity and proactivity in the design and execution of communication activities
- Assist with the delivery of communication channels at GCH, including events, media, social media, the intranet and other organisation-wide tools
- Contribute to the successful implementation and measurement of communication projects and campaigns on behalf of GCH
- Develop and maintain a strong relationship network to ensure emerging projects and opportunities are adequately supported from a communication perspective
About you
**To be successful in this position you will require**:
- A tertiary qualifications in communication, journalism or marketing, or equivalent experience would be well regarded
- Experience producing Teams Live Events, or similar would be well regarded
- Experience with Vision 6, Photoshop and InDesign is highly regarded
- Evidence of vaccination against COVID 19
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary
- Temporary full time (two positions, 11 months with possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $3632.10 - $3951.90 per fortnight
