Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join our forward thinking and creative Digital Engineering team, who work closely with asset owners, design teams and construction partners to lead and ensure an innovative and pragmatic approach to DE and BIM Management across project delivery and asset management. Working at Beca will provide you with access to a truly multidisciplinary business where you can draw on technical experts and recognised industry leaders to support delivery of significant and complex projects in multiple markets. These include the aviation, defence, education, commercial, health, transport, and utilities sectors.
Responsibilities
* Support collaborative behaviours by project delivery teams - specifically to drive "Digital Engineering" as a role that responds to the requirements of mature client and contractor organisations to meet the objectives of their projects.
* Guide and utilise innovative and collaborative technology for the exchange and development of digital design information.
* Manage the relationship between BIM processes and construction workflows through to information handover.
* Evaluate and manage BIM processes, policies, protocols & workflows.
* Support innovation using collaborative technology for the exchange and development of digital design information and data capture.
* Identify the value that reliable digital information brings to projects and integrate BIM into the design to delivery and handover process.
* Work with Beca's current (and future) clients to anticipate their challenges – leveraging good practice conducted by Beca and others, locally and globally to help our clients improve.
* Assisting in engaging with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate these into opportunities, proposals, and align these pursuits with talent within the organisation.
* Support all aspects of projects, from managing and developing schedules to authoring and performing quality control/assurance on deliverables.
Qualifications & Experience
* Knowledge of digital and innovative methodologies, including Digital Engineering / BIM / Information Management, Design and Construction processes including Asset Data creation and validation.
* Client, project stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
* Common Data Environment (CDE) establishment and management.
* Model federation and clash management activities.
* Conduct model audits and create BIM compliance reports as required.
* Assess and coordinate DE IT hardware and software deployment as required.
* Strong communication skills.
* A thorough understanding of contemporary project delivery processes and BIM authoring, federation and issue management software (such as Revit, Navisworks, Revizto, BIM360, the Autodesk and / or Bentley software suite, etc.).
* Bachelor's degree (Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field), preferred but not essential.
