Job Description
Our Outside School Hours Care service, Bribie Island State School Helping Hands is looking for a passionate Casual Educator to assist the service and provide engaging programs for our primary-age children.
You'll work Monday to Friday in split shifts across our programs:
Rise then Shine Program – Morning shifts (6:30am – 9:00am)
Stay and Play Program – Afternoon shifts (3:00pm – 6:00pm)
Holiday HQ Program – Extra hours available during school holidays (6:30am – 6:00pm)
About the role
Working in a team of Educators, you will have support of a Coordinator to seamlessly our vacation care for children aged 5-12 years:
* Facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
* Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents
* Work with a team of skilled Educators onsite
* Have the opportunity to take children on exciting day trips and excursions during the holidays!
Who are we looking for?
We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:
Enjoy working with kids
Strong and clear communication
Team player with a desire to become a service leader
Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children
