Salary and Working Hours

Salary $106,512 - $115,137 p.a. (pro rata). ASO7 | 0.9 FTE - 33.75hrs p/w - 24 Month Contract.

About the Role

The Community Engagement Adviser is responsible for advancing SALHN's commitment and strategic vision to build connections with our community to drive meaningful change, enhancing relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. The role will also lead the development of SALHN's Community Engagement Plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Advance SALHN's commitment and strategic vision to build community connections.
• Drive meaningful change by enhancing relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead the development of the Community Engagement Plan.
• Build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders on sensitive and complex issues.
• Facilitate the achievement of cooperative outcomes in a multi‐disciplinary environment.
• Develop and implement tools for training programs for multidisciplinary staff.
• Liaise and consult with a range of external agencies.

About You

• Relevant qualifications or experience in Community Engagement.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated the capacity to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders on a range of sensitive and complex issues to achieve positive outcomes.
• Ability to work with communities to understand how services should be developed to meet their health needs and translate this into improvements.
• Demonstrated experience in a multi‐disciplinary environment, including facilitating cooperative outcomes, developing and implementing tools for training programs, liaising and consulting with external agencies.
