About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Clinician to work collaboratively with consumers and their family/carers to identify their support needs, goals, and develop collaborative care plans. The position provides high-quality biopsychosocial assessment, care coordination, and evidence-based focused psychological interventions to consumers.

We have a multidisciplinary mental health team that facilitates a holistic and collaborative approach to care addressing a broad range of social, physical, and emotional needs.
This part-time opportunity (30 hours per week) is fixed-term until 30 June 2027 with possibility of extension.
About SHaWS
SHaWS is a primary health, mental health, Aboriginal health, drug, and alcohol treatment and support service led by Directions, working in collaboration with Katungal Aboriginal Medical Service and Grand Pacific Health.
The service offers free, non-judgmental, and respectful services including assessment, counseling, case management, therapeutic, and support groups, home detoxification support, crisis support, assistance entering and exiting residential rehabilitation services, and support for family members and friends impacted by substance use and/or mental health.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have current AHPRA registration as a registered psychologist, clinical psychologist, or provisional psychologist, Mental Health Nurse or occupational therapist (accredited in mental health), or accreditation (or working towards) with the AASW as a mental health social worker or Clinical Registration with PACFA or the ACA.
* Demonstrated ability to engage with consumers and their families, friends, or carers to undertake assessment to determine care needs and provide care coordination and referral support.
* Demonstrated skills and experience in providing holistic, evidence-based therapeutic supports.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
