Head Sommelier Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Sommelier to lead our wine program and team.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of wine, including regions, varietals, vintages, and winemaking. They will also possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage restaurant operations and inventory, including curating and updating bar menus.
* Lead and train the service team on wine knowledge and service standards.
* Collaborate closely with the culinary team to create perfect food and wine pairings for tailored menus.
Requirements:
* At least 2-3 years as a Sommelier, with 1-2 years in a leadership role like Head Sommelier.
* Advanced Certification: Hold a Certified Sommelier (CMS) Level 3 or higher, WSET Diploma in Wines (Level 4), or an equivalent certification.
* Comprehensive Wine Expertise: Demonstrate extensive knowledge of global wine regions, varietals, vintages, winemaking, and spirits.
