Our client, based in Bankstown NSW are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Procurement Transaction Specialist to join their growing team.
About the Role
Managing and facilitating the end-to-end Capital Works procurement process, working collaboratively with key stakeholders to meet business needs and ensure the delivery of a Capital Works program for *******.
Shift & Pay
Location: Bankstown NSW
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-4:00PM
Rate: $***** per hour
Duties
Manage and facilitate the end-to-end procurement process for transactions.
Working collaboratively with key stakeholders to meet business needs and store council plant, equipment and materials securely.
Lead large value, high risk procurement transactions.
Provide commercial support and advice to the business units in contractual issues.
Liaise with Councils General Counsel regarding contractual and legal matters.
Manage compliance with the procurement principles of probity, transparency, equity, accountability, record keeping and value for money.
Skills & Experience
ESSENTIAL:
Extensive experience in coordinating major tenders/contracts.
Demonstrated ability to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including industry professionals and suppliers.
Strong experience in the development and analysis of tender specifications, including performance based specifications, and the coordination of the evaluation of tenders and quotations to achieve best value for money.
Ability to engage multi-function teams, to deliver the procurement elements, of major projects.
Excellent written communication, organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads.
Experience in implementing and using electronic procurement and evaluation software/systems.
DESIRABLE:
Knowledge of NSW Local and State Government contracts, policies and regulations.
Knowledge of NSW Dept of Commerce e-tendering system/software.
Knowledge of APET tender evaluation software.
Experience in a high-volume transaction processing environment.
Knowledge of SAP.
