McLaren Vale Eyecare is seeking a dedicated Optical Assistant/Dispenser to join our friendly team. We offer a full‐service optical centre devoted to creating high‐quality eyewear and delivering the ultimate customer service experience from the moment patients walk through our door.

• Comprehensive services including eye tests, unique eyewear fitting, and emergency eye care

• Full‐time commitment – Monday to Friday
• Optical experience preferred but not essential; health‐related background welcomed
• Someone who takes pride in helping patients find eyewear they'll \"fall in love with\"
• Detail‐oriented individual with excellent customer‐service skills
• Passion for using the latest technology to enhance patient care

• Patient Care – Help patients select designer frames and explain how different lenses will impact their vision
• Dispensing Services – Frame fitting, adjustments, and ensuring optimal comfort and vision
• Administrative Tasks – Manage appointment bookings, patient records, and follow‐up communications
• Computer Systems – Use practice‐management software for scheduling, billing, and maintaining accurate patient databases
• Reception Duties – Greet patients, handle phone inquiries, and manage day‐to‐day front‐desk operations
• Insurance Processing – Handle Medicare claims and health‐fund rebates
• Inventory Management – Assist with frame displays, stock monitoring, and ordering
• Support our Optometrist – Prepare patients for consultations and assist with clinical administration

• Work alongside an experienced, dedicated optometrist
